Sugar Fairy Cake Dreams...

It arrived!!! My first ever Angelic Pretty dress!
It took a little while to come and, as expected, got a customs charge to pay - though not as bad as it could have been! (Lucky in a way I guess) o_o

The dress has definitely not failed to disappoint! It's beautifully made and the quality of the printed fabric is really very lovely - you can tell it is good material and it has been lined properly. The quality between this dress and the replica is really no comparison at all.

I adore the versatility of this dress; detachable apron/pinafore so it can be worn as a skirt, straps at the back cross over or straight, detachable bow and separate extra pinafore at the front too!

I always like to choose items which have something a little unique/different about them.
This one in particular has a sort of 50's vintage diner feel to it! It could almost be paired with roller-skates and a head full of pink hair rollers!

I teamed this dress with some new black patent Mary Janes from Topshop (which remind me very much of some shoes from Clarkes I had as a little girl >_< ), Cute Pink Dumpling Purse from Tofu Cute, Customized Polly Pocket Locket Necklace & Roxie Sweetheart Velvet Deer Brooch, Fluffy Bunny Ring, Pink Birdie Ring and Heart Cake Ring.

Now to try save up for the next piece in my collection.... might take a while though! ; )

Dolly Eyes

Ok so I bought my very first pair of coloured contact lenses from Honeycolor.com - Super Pinky in 'Violet'.

I have never worn contacts so it took me ages the first time to get them in my eyes!! Today I tried them again and I did manage to keep them in long enough to take a few photos : )

I also wore them with some new false eyelashes (Lashmore Amazing Curl) from the same website - plus (of course) a super cute Hello Kitty shaped lenses case!

I went for quite an unusual colour straight away... though I do love how different they look - and they very much suit my girly/dolly style ^_^

Now I know how nice they look I think I am going to purchase some more in a nice turquoise/green colour!

XOXO

Lolita Love

So I am becoming more and more obsessed
with the Lolita style...especially Sweet Lolita!
It's literally every girly girls dream;
just how you dreamed of dressing up when you were little -
like a living doll covered in cakes, rainbows, ribbons and bows...
Except you can actually wear it as an adult
>_< AMAZING   ♥

I am building my collection gradually - with a mixture of replica's
and now just a couple of genuine pieces.
The cost prices are pretty high...
though the dresses are just so beautiful, like works of art...

Plus I console myself with the fact that these dresses are like collectors items, which can easily be sold on or swapped in the future if needs be - though I can't image ever giving away a dress that I loved. I tend to form emotional attachments to items - they bring memories of when they were worn and how good I felt in them.

So anyway here's just a little look of the few items I do own so far - plus the latest dress that I have bought from Angelic Pretty's beautiful 'Sugar Fairy Cake' Collection (my very first Angelic Pretty purchase)!

Metamorphose 'Vintage Poodle' dress! Lovingly bought second-hand of my beautiful friend Rosanna : )
I adore this dress because it has a very 50's style! I wore this one at Hyper Japan in February with white frilly socks and patent red bow shoes.

I do have the 'Milky Chan' (Angelic Pretty) cute deer print skirt, bag and polka dot dress but they are replicas at the moment!

  My latest purchase ^_^

I love this dress because it's quite unusual and has a sort of vintage feel to it! It's also got a detachable top so you can wear the skirt separately - giving more outfit options!
I think the next thing I will need to invest in is a lovely petticoat to go under it!

Oh and on another note I'd like to express my new found love for this girl...

The wonderful and weirdly cute world of Kyary Pamyu Pamyu!

XOXO
